Chemical Safety Glasses are equipped with highly durable frames able to absorb impact and side shields to prevent objects from striking the eye. Safety glasses provide protection against minor chemical splashes, but goggles are superior in chemical protection. Some safety glasses are designed to fit over your prescription glasses for the best visibility.

Safety glasses and goggles will protect the eyes from minor chemical splashes and, with attached side shields, will also protect the eyes from dust and flying objects. Some come with prescription lenses or bifocal lenses, but others can fit over prescription glasses, as well. For increased durability, the lenses will be made from polycarbonate, scratch-resistant material. Some lenses are also coated with Ultradura for additional chemical resistance. Instead of a side shield, some chemical safety glasses might have a wraparound style or, for outdoor use, could have an amber, brown, or blue tint.
